If I had a quarter for every close up pic of a laundry room washing machine coin mechanism, or dormitory Coke machine lock, I'd be a rich man.
I think there's actually a thread dedicated to people who just joined and are immediately asking how to pick a very specific lock, usually as quickly and quietly as possible, and always including a photo of a close up of a lock that is obviously in use on a vending machine, washing machine, roof access hatch, or dorm room door at their university.
We cannot help you, these posts automatically set off flags and trigger people's spidey senses (thanks Evan for that one
Good luck with your project, I'm gonna leave this open, so you can post a photo of your washing machine sitting in a junkyard, maybe we can help you once that pic is posted, but even then we probably won't since if we tell you how to get into your "junkyard" machine, anyone else with Google search can later on find instructions how to get into a machine in their laundry room.
I know the economy is tough, but theft of service is not the answer.
