When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Home made pick hand grip

Postby Sourman » 30 Aug 2011 15:14

Hi,

I made some lock picks out of hacksaw blades, now I want to add hand grip to it so its stronger. I already tried secondglue but it didnt last long... :|

Does anyone have a good idea on how to stick them together? I dont have a welding machine so that's not an option...

Thnx

what are these handles, are they wooden or metal,

anything from a ducttape wrap, to sterlling silver has already been done.

wood can be made from two scales of thin hardwood, a little mortising of the inner area of the scales, then glued and clamped overnight and the handle scales can then be shaped and sanded to form.
Wake up and smell the Kafka!!!

I made my lockpicks out of 1/2 of a hacksaw blade, and the handles out of 1/3 of a hacksaw blade.

So it is just the same hacksaw metal

You might try metal/concrete epoxy glue between the pick and handles. I've used the Loctite stuff with mixed results. Be sure not to have a smooth surface, a sure way to have your epoxy fail.
