Hi, just signed up recently here and studying to be a locksmith. I wanted to post that I just went out to Lowe's today, and was surprised the aisle is suddenly full of a new kind of entryway & deadbolt locks called "SecureKey Technology"-- supposedly 10x more key combinations, and 'pick resistant'. They are made by Schlage but not sure if other companies are going to jump aboard. 'Securely Rekeys in Seconds'.
My question is- are these locks still pickable with the standard tools, are they manufacturers hype or are they going to run locksmiths out of their profession? I have never tried to open one myself as of yet.
Wanted to know what people here thought.... thanks!
