Master Combination Locks

Postby omarnyc » 4 Sep 2011 21:33

there are three types on dials, flush, innie pointer and outie pointer,
the OLD outie pointer worked simple to pick.
hold and pull shackle so that it locks the dial, loosen up a bit.
turn right and the first bump, add +5, thats the first number.
loosen and turn left, it will bump at ex. 3, 7,& 9, or ex. 2, 4, 8
so if the first bump was 5 then the first combination is 10 (5+5)
then all second numbers will be ex. 3, 7, 9,13, 17, 19, 23, 27, 29 etc.
now just try 10, then 3, then turn and yank at every number,
then try 10, then 7, then turn and yank at every number,
then just try 10, then 9, then turn and yank at every number,
(etc 10-13-x, 10-17-x, 10,19,-x, etc etc)
keep tyring until you open it, the third number is then one that it opens on...

if anyone has this old style lock please try it, of course i might be wrong on wether you turn right or left first, but you should know which one it is.
it works
i used to be really good at it, of course with the really low combo #'s it was a great trick where you might have it open in 60 seconds...

does anybody know a method for the newer model master locks???

sorry i meant the second # will be the next bumps in the other direction, it was always 3 numbers that repeat in the next set, no need to go through the whole dial since any 3 out of first ten available numebrs will repeat as the same numbers +10, +20, +30 in the next sets of possible 2nd numbers,
once you know the 1st #, and the 12 possible second #'s the third is the freebie by just yanking softly one at a time...

the newer locks behave similiarly but dont open using this trick. possible the pattern involves another unknown constant.
