Safe - need help

Postby demy1942 » 10 Sep 2011 16:31

Okay, I helped out my neighbor with all the flooding and she has a safe in the basement in the wall. It was from the previous owner and she doesn't have the combo etc. I did look around the room for maybe a number on the wall etc but no luck. The only think on the wall safe is a serial number. 11059-122

I have no clue on the make or what type of lock is being used. Any direction is greatly appreciated.

1- call previous owner
2- call locksmith
3- if you have time try to find the combination by yourself, or with a stetoscope.. my friend discovered the combination of a safe of his grandpa only with his ear... i still didn't manage to do somethin like that...

If locksmith don't know anything (but it's impossible), the are several destructive ways... But then your neightbour will must adjust the wall... or hold a broken safe in it

4- thermite.

Although it doesn't hurt to grab a stethoscope and try yourself.
