If you want to maximize profits this is my friendly advice. Team up with a locksmith in the area, perhaps a couple that will use your invoices and represent your company on jobs you do not want or cannot do. Pay them 80% and keep 20%. The specialize in things other locksmiths won't tackle in your area.

Everybody and their brother does car lockouts, almost as many do house lockouts. Far less do safe lockouts, or replace doors, or work on commercial glass doors, concealed closers, pivots, electronic access, magnets. So you can charge top dollar if you can do these jobs. If a car lockout comes along and you have time run it, otherwise give that to a local lockout guy that you have a relationship with. Quote your normal rate, ours is $65 in the day and $90 at night, and throw 80% of that to the other guy if you can't get to it. If you can't do safe openings team up with a safe expert. The alternative to using your invoices is for them to be referred the call entirely and give you a 20% kickback.

We have a safe expert, a automotive expert and an automotive lockout guy who we routinely work either of these plans with. They aren't taking our high security lock work, our commercial MK business or any of our specialties away as they do not do them. However it keeps customers happy and in turn these affiliate locksmiths send us their commercial jobs which they don't handle and receive 20% from us.
