Want a new pick set

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Want a new pick set

Postby linker42 » 12 Sep 2011 21:33

Hi

First of all, I'm new here, but I've been picking simple locks for fun for about a year with a simple set and some homemade picks. Now I thought I'd move on and try some other type of lock pick sets.

I wanted to have something a bit portable. Not like the KGB-1 (http://www.lockpicks.com/kgbbeltpickset-kgb-1.aspx) since I've seen that one is a bit too small. I'm also not too sure about the jack knife sets since I've read bad stuff about them. Basically the one I've been thinking about is the Concealable Lock Pick Set (http://www.defensedevices.com/concealed ... k-set.html) but I cant find reviews or size comparison pictures. Has anyone used that set? If so I'd appreciate any reviews possible.

I was also thinking of buying the individual replacement parts of the jackknife sets and use them like that but again, its a size issue and i'm not sure how great that would be.

So hopefully someone could help me out with choosing something that would be best for me. Anything helps.

Thanks

Yeah, don't go with the jack knife. I bought one thinking it would be good, but it wasn't. The picks in it are very flimsy and will bend even with the slightest amount of pressure.
