And I can't get the key to turn. I can get it in the whole way but it just doesn't turn. Is there anything I can do to get this lock off? I thought I would go to Home Depot to see if some WD-40 would help but thought someone might be able to help with another answer.
Sorry this may seem obvios, but are you SURE your using the correct key? If so, then yes a lubricant such as WD-40 would most definetly help. Try spraying it inside, then running the key in and out a few times.
I ended up finding some WD40 and it eventually worked. I'm so glad I found this site, the internet is amazing. Chucklz, my lock was a trailer hitch lock but the keys and lock mechanism looked very similar.
