Do most locksmiths have exp. & training w/ electronic locks?

Do most locksmiths have experience and training with electronic locks?

It depends on the type of lock you are asking about...

There is a difference between a stand alone electronic lock set and an integrated access control device...

More information would be helpful to better answer your question as to the application you would use such a lock in -- but generally speaking look for a locksmith who advertises expertise in access control...

They will have some training on the types of electronic locks that their shop sells.

they will also have some experience on whatever electonic lock problems that they might have come up against in the past,

Until Graham Pulford writes a book on electonic locks its unlikely that anyone will have a broad general knowlege of them except of course a very experienced locksmith.

We do at our shop, but at the previous shop I worked it was just a few Kaba and Alarm Lock models.
