tubular keys

Just wondering what the cost of a tubular lock should be, like ace or fort. And how much should it cost to get a key cut for an ace lock? I need one lock, but still have one tubular and one ace ll that I need replacent keys for (not duplicates).

You can get a tubular cam lock for no more than $15. I threw two of them and their keys away today because the cams were missing.

Duplicate keys should be $5 or less.

Wow! Thanks for the tip. I'm definitely being ripped off. I dropped by 2 locksmiths and they both quoted me $30 for each lock, or $30 to make a key for the lock I have. I'm coming down to Boston in a couple of weeks... maybe I'll bring my locks and get keys made there. For now, I put in $6 tool cabinet locks (not tubular keyed). They look fine and work well, just maybe not as secure. Cheers.
