RUKO 560

Hi,

Is there anyone here that has an experience with 5 pin RUKO 560 cylinder?
What is the best way to pick it?
I have had a new cylinder in my possession for a few days, but I must be missing something because I am able to set most of the pins, and when I want to deal with the false setting of the security pins, everything falls apart and I have to start all over.

I WANT TO BEAT THIS LOCK!

This is a well made lock, I just got one the other week and along with the high-low-high key cuts (also known as bitting) the lock is very well made with high tolerances.

If you are new to the lockpicking hobby, you may have to practice some more on easier locks before trying to beat this lock.

Do you have the key? are the cuts high-low-high? Start with very light tension when picking it.

My preference is to use a hooked diamond in that situation and light tension like mentioned above. I've never tried one but maybe a feather touch tension tools would help.

I was litterately missing the big picture apparently regarding this.

It is clear that those locks I bought on the auction (2 brand new RUKO), is not 560 nor 1660 because the picture you attached yesterday represents the RUKO 560 but the locks I received have different keyways.
The seller on the auction did attach the very same picture you have attached (and for the 6 pin, the same keyway).
See the attached picture. can you identify those? The 6 pin is apparently stainless steel, including pins.
The keyway is different, but still the tolerances are very high.

And to r0005 I will try the hooked diamond and use very light tension.

YES!!

I have just opened the 5 pin RUKO with slowly and carefully using an ordinary hook from my SoutOrd set. I used a feather wrench and noticed that the pin No 5 needed the last attention

Now I will concentrate on this particular lock for a while until I can pick it with great confidence.

I have about thirty of those in ruko and assa both the same and use the same pins and similar to the scd and twin combi without the sidebars. they are a to pick most of the time and the spool pins make them hard enough to shim appart for a rekey.
