Can someone tell me what type of lock this is?

I know it's a padlock, but what is this keyhole type called and how do I pick it?

It looks like a cheap warded lock (a small luggage lock, perhaps?). They're not terribly hard to pick: just about anything that fits past the warding and turns (a bent paperclip) is usually enough to open them.

I believe I saw this one before on a reallly really cheap diary for small kids...

This lock is smaller than 2cm right??

If i'm right the only thing you probably need to do is put a pick in is and its open...

These do come bigger, I have seen the miniature cheaper warded locks that you are talking about, but they do, or did make bigger versions. I have a collection of some pretty old locks, and 5 or so functional antique warded locks, they look like this but bigger, keyway and all, but the metal on the top and bottom has dulled, the bodies of the locks are red and some form of plastic if I remember. Most of them read "Made In" somewhere in Eastern Europe. As far as picking them, I would say take the approach you would to any warded lock, a warded lock tool, make a simple one or do like me and make a collection. I have what feels like hundreds, but only like 30-40 warded masters, I had to make a variety of tools for them, and most ended up coming from my left-over Abloy attempts. warded locks from my collection, let me know and I will upload photos of them. I am sure someone here appreciates that kinda stuff like I do, considering the forum . I do though have one that either is broken(likely) or I just can not open it. If I get bored one day I may impression it, though it is so old I will only have to make maybe 2 cuts on each side, lol.
