Better than Kaba Star

Is there anything out there more durable and harder to pick than a Kaba Star? Also where can I purchase a Star?

Spend less money on a better door lock and invest in a stronger door and a better reinforced door frame first...

Then if you have money left over, invest in a better door lock...

Is there a sudden motivation in your life to go all out on upgrading your home security? recent break in? crazy ex wife or husband? Just remember that while you upgrade the front door to all metal this and Abloy protec that, don't forget to upgrade that old wooden back door that has an old Kwikset knobset and no deadbolt, and to close and lock windows while not at home, etc. People focus on one thing, and forget the other 20 things that need improving, and that goes to hardware and every day habits and security procedures.

Don't forget to remove and throw out all the 3/4 inch brass screws that your door hinges are mounted to the frame with, and replace them all with some 3 inch deck screws instead. Make it as annoying or time consuming to get in your house, that either the bad guys will move onto an easier house next door, or it will make enough noise to get your attention or your neighbors attention that someone is trying to break in.

good luck with your project,

@dancingeagle:

Not sounding like a paranoid at all man...

Remember the harder you make it for burglars to break in the harder you make it for a locksmith to gain entry on your behalf if you are ever locked out...

ebay.de is a great place to find those type of locks if you are happy to purchase second hand. otherwise simply contact kaba direct and ask them if you can buy direct or where is the closest distribution agent to you...

cheers,
