I have that set and yes, it's really good. Just go easy on the DCAP hook (the silver one with straight shaft) cos it'll bend quite easily compared to the other picks... I bent mine picking ASSA locks though so as long as you don't have to pick a lot of stuff that needs loads of tension you'll be fine. Same goes for the DCAP half diamond and snake rake obviously. Oh yeah, and the slender gem... it's really wobbly so you should probably leave that alone until you really get the feel for what you're doing. The standard picks are sweet, you've got a short hook, reach, half diamond, snake rake and city rake to play around with... and those things are all tough as nails so you can really go to town with them. Not that I'm recommending heavy handedness, but it's good to know.
The tensioners are designed for both top and bottom of keyway use, that's why either end is a different length. Shorter for TOK and longer for BOK, but I'm sure you know that lol. TOK gives you a lot more room to work with but in all honesty most of the time it doesn't matter. For me, it's more a matter of comfort than necessity when it comes to choosing my tension. If the lock is mounted with pins up top, I always go for bottom of keyway because it's more comfortable for me... and if I can't get under a certain pin or I'm having issues with oversetting, I switch to top of keyway to give myself more room. I find it uncomfortable but it's a necessary evil worth practicing. If the pins are at the bottom, I still go for the bottom cos comfort is awesome. And it also gives me all the room I need, so double awesome.
