Extra Lock Parts

Postby irate-turtles » 3 Jan 2012 19:59

I broke a spring while repinning one of my schlage locks (yes, it is possible), and I was wondering where I could possibly get a replacement spring, would home depot/lowe's carry something like that, or would I need to find a dedicated locksmith shop to pick up something like that?

Thanks in advance for your help!

@irate-turtles:

That is not something that Home Depot or Lowe's would sell...

You can tray the locksmith, but you will probably get some odd questions/looks and pay more than you should..

Many people on here have pinning kits, I am sure if you asked nicely for some springs and/or posted a WTB thread in the Buy/Sell/Trade sub-forum someone might be able to fix you up with some...
