Mottura Champions C48 Cutaway

Postby ImSchatten360 » 19 Jan 2012 9:04

Hello,

I recently got this cutaway and thought it might be a good idea to share some pictures.
The lasertrack mechanism is quite interesting.
The four sliders rotate four disc which interact with the sidebar.
All four disc have one fake each.

So moving the sliders left and right is not enough to set the sidebar disks. We also need to push and pull them in order to rotate them and align the sidebar grooves. Interesting lock.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing :)

I just check again and moving the slider left and right should be enough.
But it is not really left and right but more a circular motion (almost straight but slightly bent).
That is just what I think. Can't really see how the sidebar looks on the side where it enters the disc.

Is that paperclip shaped wire to prevent the other half from being removed during a snapping attack? That's an interesting way of solving that problem.

The keys look like Rick the Picks' Milenco Magnum locks.. or was it the MT5?

Thanks

Wow! Just wow!

Now yet another lock that has to be added to my collection.

Guess the Medeco patent for rotational pins with grooves in the side for a sidebar is expired, but this is the first lock I have seen using the technology.

Thank you for sharing!

Gordon

Very nice lock! Why haven't I seen these pics until today?!

I like how it has that Medeco style sidebar and grooved pins, as GWiens already mentioned.
Nice job on the decoder =)
