Is it just me or is it that Lockpickshop.com are very slow in replying to emails?

When I try to order more than one item on their website the shipping doesn't calculate (to Australia) and I receive the error "No methods identified!" and therefore the order can't be processed.

I've send an email on Monday (today is Wednesday) and I haven't received a reply. Also, I sent other questions via their contact form last week and received no reply.

Is there anything I could do but wait? :\

I am not aware of anybody complaining about Lockpickshop.com comunication, though I've never had first hand experience with them.

I just checked their contact page (did you use that one to contact them?) and found what appears to be a JavaScript form. I have nothing against them, but found out on many times that they're not as reliable as sending an email yourself. Some browsers can't handle them properly and hence they don't work. Try switching browser, use Firefox for example, it's free.

If you feel you really need to contact them soon, you'd run a whois on their domain name and get some email addresses where to write to, but since they didn't clearly show them on their website, I don't know if they're active or not.

Hope this helps. :)

Search for lockpickshop.com on the forum, there have been a few people in the last year who do not realize it is a basically 1 or 2 man shop and they are usually busy filling orders and do not have a call center or customer service reps who sit and look at emails, or if they do, they have so many email questions they probably cannot keep up and their replies are not fast or not at all.

They're not a huge company like Amazon.com or Dell where you can call or email and someone gets back to you in <24 hours. They also figure if you are buying from them, you know what you're doing, and arent going to email them 20 questions.

Hope that helps,

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

First of all I've tried emailing them using their online form and their email address customerservice@lockpickshop... and still no reply.

My questions mainly relate to shipping and if they can deliver by DHL even if I pay more (my past experience shows that there are less headaches this way).

And the biggest problem is that I cannot order through their website because of some problem. When I order more than one item it says that process the order because the shipping doesn't calculate...

As you can imagine I'm a bit eager to order from them and yeah...

Thanks for your replies though. I guess I'll just wait...

@minifhncc:

You have been told by a moderator that lockpickshop.com is a small operation... Their website "order form" is not a live self-aware globally networked order-fulfillment system like other eCommerce websites you may be familiar with... It sounds like you are trying to ask for information which might only be available upon request because the actual cost of shipping internationally fluctuates enough so that it is not able to be displayed to you via the order inquiry...

If all else fails you could always resort to low tech ordering methods like faxing an order form or mailing it in...

It is sad that this topic keeps coming up on a repetitious basis every so often...

Please have patience, even in this day and age you have to realize that just because you can order something at 11:59pm on a Friday evening, the people fulfilling that order in a small company may not even become aware of your order's existence until well after noon time on Tuesday if it is a holiday weekend... This may seem archaic in comparison to Amazon, et al. but small businesses basically don't exist outside of the 8am to 5pm business hours even though a website may be allowing you to place orders 24/7...

I was having the same problem.
They had a problem with the online contact form.
They did not get my emails.
I finally got a voice mail to them and I got a call today.
She said in the future use thelockpickshop@yahoo.com.

They are also having issues accepting the online Coupon: LP101 so please call or email them after the order to make sure they apply the coupon discount of 10%

Thanks Haddo for posting your findings!

That's exactly the same email address which turns out when you run a whois on their domain name (previous suggestion of mine :D )
