HELP: Finding lost combo for Buffalo lock

Postby dennalis515 » 2 Feb 2012 13:15

I bought a Buffalo combination lock from the Dollar store, and I throw out the combination sticker for it, thinking I could find it, using the "sticky spots" technique, as I have opened master, and several kinds of dudley locks this way. But, I couldn't find the combination this way. :?
If any one can help me that would be great.
The lock goes up to 40, with the numbers on the dial. If I spin the dial counter clockwise i get the numbers:7, 17, 27.
If i spin the dial CLOCKWISE, I get the numbers: 24, 14-17, 7-4.
I hope this is helpful :|
I would think opening the lock would be really simple because it is cheap and made in china,
(sorry to those), and I think you can open these locks by listening for the notches to hit the latch on the inside of the lock, to open it.
If you type in "buffalo combination lock" in google images, it is the like the fifth picture, for those with questions about what the lock looks like. :|

You don't need to delete it, don't worry, no harm done here. I'm sure a moderator will lock this thread. To discuss combination locks you'll need to wait a bit, until you meet the requirements to apply for the advanced area. See you on the other side.

Cheers :)
