Ok so i needed to masterkey some older multilock barrels for use around the house, why multilocks because i had some simple.
They are all five pins on the same profile , i needed one key to allow me to open the side gate shed and back door ie all three and one key for the gate only and one to do the gate and shed because you need the gate to get to it.
What i did was key up one barrel with all five pins for the back door, one barrel with the last pin stack removed for the shed and one barrel with the last two pin stacks removed for the gate.
My key the master will open all three locks as it is cut for all the pin stacks.
The side gate key will open only the gate as its only cut correctly for the first three stacks and is not able to open the other doors.
The shed key is cut for the first four stacks so it will open both the shed and gate but is not cut correctly for the house.
Yes i realise removing pin stacks reduces the security of the barrels but the gate is the going to be used by many people so it cant be considerd secure and the shed has four pins multiplied by two because its a multilock so its an eight pin
these barrels where old ones i had lying around and had so where the keys i didnt even have to cut the keys i just had to find ones with some common cuts .
