I'm in Oakland during the summer and UC Davis during the school year I would be interested in a group especially in Davis.

For those of you who live in the Bay Area, we will be holding the first official meeting of the Northern California chapter of TOOOL in San Francisco this weekend, Sunday June 13th.

There is no real agenda so stop by and say hello if you can. If you can't make it this time but would like to be added to our google group and get updates on future meetings, PM me your email address.

Where:
Noisebridge https://www.noisebridge.net/wiki/Noisebridge
2169 Mission St.
San Francisco, CA
http://maps.google.com/?q=2169+Mission+Street,+94110

When:
Sunday, June 13th
3:00 - 5:00pm

If you have never been to Noise Bridge, they are on the 3rd floor. Just hit the buzzer and someone will let you in.

It has been brought to my attention that some users do not like the fact that my username has the word "Crook" in it. It is a 10 year old gamertag and I am working on changing it. I hope that it has not caused any confusion // misinterpretation.

Hey California pickers - We just wrapped up a great meeting of San Francisco TOOOL last weekend and we're currently planning another meetup for July, very likely at Noisebridge (https://www.noisebridge.net/) since they've been welcoming and offer a great transit-accessible space. I'll post more information on this thread when I have it.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for someone interested in presenting on pertinent topic in July. If you have any suggestions or have a lockpicking topic you're interested in presenting on yourself, lemme know.

I'm also in the East Bay.

I'd love to attend an SF TOOOL meeting, when the confluence of economics and schedules occur.

Hey guys,

Brand new to the Bay and a neophyte lock picker. I am looking for a little help with an informal event Sunday in Fort Mason in SF. We are working to fuse the worlds of Special Operations, hard skills training and physicality to inspire innovation. I need some lock-picking expertise for the first pilot program! Would love any referrals. For this first one I am not working with any real cash, but an hosting a dinner after the event and would be happy to feed you. See below for more details.

What do military Special Operations, Entrepreneurs, extreme physical duress and urban tactical skills have to do with innovation? Everything.

We are experimenting with fusing the world’s of combat tactics and unit operations, unchecked physical exertion, entrepreneurial acumen, and hard skills training to facilitate a new approach to innovation.

You will interact with a special operations US Air Force Pararescueman, a sand dune, the Bay, lock picking challenges, and unit integrity building exercises. This is a physical and cerebral bacchanal designed to provide individuals with an appreciation for team, and the tools to thrive under duress and in the face of adversity, common in the start-up world and in combat.

This is the first in a series of events and is being co-hosted by Sara Peck the founder of the Walk and Talk Series a monthly experience designed around movement and thinking, exploring the relationship between conversation and physical activity, designed for a small, trusted group of friends and comrades.

Please message or call me if anyone out there knows of someone who may be interested in getting involved.

I am sorry if this post is in any way inappropriate for this board.

Thanks

Jesse
