Kansas City TOOOL Chapter starting up

I am working on getting a Kansas City chapter of TOOOL (the open organization of lockpickers) off the ground. Right now I have places that we can meet, and I have a collection (of around 30 or so) of different locks and deadbolts that can be practiced on. I would love to find some others who are interested in forming a chapter of TOOOL with me in the KC area.

My apologies for the late reply.

Yes, Deviant and I have been in talks, and yes it is official.

The TOOOLKC email address is toool-kc@gmail.com, and there is also a facebook page setup for it @ tooolkc. The page was just published, so there isn't a lot up there, but in the coming weeks there will be.

I am going to try to tap into some of the other security related clubs in this area (ISACA, InfraGard, etc) to drum up more interest and support.

I think that this is a good thing to have a KC Toool chapter. We just recently spoke via email, and I look forward to joining up with the KC Toool Chapter.

I went to the December Tooolkc meeting and had a good time. I was running late and brought my youngest boy with me (he is a lock hacker as well). Make sure to post on here when the next meeting is. I look forward to it. Thanks!
