What You Packing??

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

What You Packing??

most anywhere at anytime i have picks on me. they always come in handy, just wondering what everyones favorite piece is? dynapick? jackknifes? wallet pick sets? etc?

i have a southord jackknife with a set of auto jigglers on a key ring. also have a sc1 blank and a kw1 blank, and handcuff key and southord tubular pick decoder on the same ring.

Currently I drag around a small nylon zipper bag with a handful of picks, wrenches, tweezers, pin tray, baggy of pins, and two or three locks. It is enough so I can show locksport to someone else and pick with one or two people simultaneously.

Heh, I was just talking about this in another thread. This is my everyday carry set, it goes everywhere with me. Pics have been cropped so open in a new tab to see them properly. :)

It's made from a pin vice and wiper inserts. Very compact, great grip and feedback. The round handle is awesome and it cost next to nothing to make aswell. The pick is double ended so you can pull it out and flip it around if you wanna do some raking:

Aaaaand this is it with the picks and wrench inside (with a peterson for size reference):

I have three sets. Southord (14 piece), HPC (24 Piece) and Peterson(14 piece).
All of them fit into a coat pocket. The HPC and southord will fit in a shirt pocket.

I would have to give the edge to the Peterson with HPC a strong 2nd
I just feel the handles on the Peterson are more comfortable, but the HPC are no slouch.
