Any success with bumpkey.us?

Postby scriptguru » 8 Feb 2012 21:25

Have anybody successfully bought tools from bumpkey.us?

I ordered some stuff there more than two weeks ago - "order processed", not delivered yet. Take into account that delivery from Florida to Vancouver should not take long.

Trying to contact them (email) - silence.

I'm not located too far from Vancouver and ordered a 5 key set from them a little over a year ago.

The order took 3 days to go from processed to completed/shipped. I don't recall exactly how long they took to arrive but they definitely came.

slumnickel, thanks for reply.

I think at some point they just stopped to ship keys (however, they continue to charge credit cards, etc): http://locksmith.pissedconsumer.com/no- ... 70739.html

Currently I am trying to get my money back, my claim is being processed by PayPal.

Thats rather unfortunate; best of luck with your paypal refund.
You could add your issue to what appears a long list with the BBB at:

If you can find an alternate source you should consider checking in with the Vancouver Hackerspace to see if anyone else is interested. I imagine you would find some people to divide up the shipping costs.

They have a web presence at: http://vancouver.hackspace.ca/wp/

Great idea, thanks. I didn't know they are interested in lockpicking too (however, I was going to contact them on this topic anyway).

Don't you think that buying one set, and then copying it is cheaper than buying few sets?

Just for your information: PayPal fully refunded my payment to bumpkey.us
So if you are in similar situation, don't hesitate to register a claim.

I'll chime in and add that I am having the same issue with the company. I would definitely recommend avoiding this company at the moment. I'm giving them one more email and then I'll contact paypal.

It doesn't make sense to email them. They don't reply emails and phone calls. At all.
When you claim to PayPal they anyway give you a week to contact seller, and only then you can escalate a disput so PayPal will investigate it. I am not sure if it worked normally before, but for last few months it is 100% rip off (according to many sources, including my own experience).
