Lock pick noob

Postby Hobo30 » 9 Mar 2012 3:40

Hey guys new to the forum. a friend of mine told me about this forum and I decided I would finely register and create an account. Was told about the cool tricks and such on here and it seems to be a VERY useful site for information.

I've always been fascinated by locks as a kid. and here within the last two weeks my friend has gotten me back into this obsession. within the last two weeks I have been toying with master locks. locked I've picked so far are Master's: 3,5, 82, and many other cheap no name brand locks. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as far as which locks to go twords next. I have noticed that my fall points when it comes to lock picking is Single pin picking. which is to no ones supprize I was told single pin picking as the pro's way to do it. How can I get better at single pin picking. as opposed to my raking and scrubbing that I have been doing. are their any techniques or exsursises I can do to better myself? What are the next type of lock I should go for?

Here are a few random threads that all have some good advice to people starting out:

DB's Beginner's Lockpicking Exercise is a good place to start: it's a good tutorial.

Welcome to the site, and a new hobby! :)

This thread, from yesterday, also has some good answers to the "what lock next" question.
