How about hacksaw blades for double prong tension wrenches? I read a post on here where a member made some double prong (falle) style tensioners using hacksaw blades and salt water etching.

That may be worth a look for you JohnnyWalker. I made two sets, four to each set a few days ago using this method. I have fitted two of them to keyways I'm practicing on and I really like them for access.

With the ease of making homemade tensioners and picks, it allows you to try a lot of different designs without paying big $$ for specialty picks/tensioners. One trip to the local junkyard landed me about 20 old wiper blades for blanks.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions, Nrhlmck. Getting my hands on some hacksaw blades is fairly easy, but I lack the rest of the tools I'll need to make this. However, I will definitely remember this advice so when I can get to a friend's place who has them and then I can try making one of these myself. I'll also head out to my local junkyard to get my hands on some wiper blades. I don't know why I didn't think of that before. Thanks again for the help here, Nrhlmck.

If your looking to buy material to make your own tools try modelling shops they sell brass and stainless steel in a large variety of sizes and shapes. and you should find anything you need there.
