ratyoke's picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

These are the last picks I made before I went to Korea. I'm going to be selling them soon.

It's not for sale.

This is not the one I posted the pic of like a month ago. That pick is still unfinished.

These remind me of some of the Celtic artwork in things like The Book of Kells. I think the picks are far too beautiful to use but would make great presentation items at picking contests or gifts for a retiring locksmith. Plus I would feel more frustrated if one of these magical beauties failed to pick a simple lock in my hands, it is not so bad when it is a HPC pick.

Like those animalitos that are running around in the fancy scrollwork.
If you put that pick down, it will just run off, its a wild one.

Is that wood for the handle? Very nice detailing indeed.

I'm still living in Korea, but I was back in the US for 12 days last month and made these picks while I was home. Handles are tulipwood.

오랜만이에요.
I'm back in the US now after 5 years in Korea and traveling most of 2016. Got back in November last year. I'm still undecided how much time/effort I will be putting into making picks; my work and current living situation don't allow me to work on them when ever I want like before. But I have made a few since returning, and started a Facebook page for my picks:

https://www.facebook.com/ratyokepicks/

I finished these 3 around the end of last year. Woods are African blackwood, snakewood, ebony.

This is the ebony pick from the previous photo with a holly pick I made last week.
