Not exactly new to locks, but have a ton to learn still. I've been on and off the boards here (never posted an intro though) but can't seem to remember my old username or email so decided to come out of the shadows to contribute and learn. I've come here a number of times to get info on certain locks, and ordered my first tools from lockpickshop based on ads here.

Of course I'm new to the forums but excited to take on a new hobby. I have recently taken an interest to hobbiest picking. It started when I sucessfully retrieved the combination to a common masterlock gym locker lock.

Hi everybody - I am new here!! I have always been fascinated by locks, and always wanted to learn how to pick 'em. I work in the construction trade as a carpenter, so I definitely have some knowledge of locksets. I've installed a lot of commercial hardware, and residential as well. The thing that made me finally decide to learn to pick locks is that I work as a maintenance man for two buildings. Keys are a huge problem for me (and everyone else.) While I am allowed access to all areas other than a couple people's personal offices, I only have a limited number of keys. One day as I was trying to jimmy a certain door open, I thought "I should learn how to pick locks, so when I really have to get in somewhere, and can't find the key, I can get in."

So, that's it - I hope to learn some cool stuff here, and talk to cool people! thanks!

I joined this forum a few weeks ago but havn't been active as I was waiting for my kit to arrive from the states . I started Picking an old tri-circle straight away & it took me half an hour, a day of practising later & I can do it in a minute or 2 I'm purchasing some more locks soon to practice on soon .

This is an amazing forum guys, and I'm really happy to be a member here, there are some really nice tutorials here from what I've seen too.

It's great to be among enthusiasts

Hello Lockpicking 101 folks-

I've been lurking here for a bit and decided it was time to finally open an account so I can ask a question.

Hopefully I can contribute a bit to the group- I've already learned quite a bit just browsing the site and now have several beautiful home-grown picks to show for it.
