Anybody have this lock?

6 pins, rekeyable, combination of serrated & spool pins from what I've been reading. I just ordered one from Amazon - they had some used ones at a price too good to pass up. $7.51 for what is normally a $30+ lock.

As I type this, there is still one used one left at that price:

Anyway - should be here soon. I'll let you know how it goes.

I had one of those before, or at least very similar (Ed: turns out it was a Y90S). No serrations in the one I had but it was packed with spools, very slender middle so you get a wicked false set out of it. Really fun to pick and the bible uses one of those steel clips so you can rekey without a follower. Handy stuff.

Well, it came in today. I got it "used" for $7 from Amazon - this thing is still in the original packaging (the packaging does have a little shelf wear though). Score!

I haven't tried to pick it yet, I'll do that soon. Looking at the bitting of the key - the last pin is very high, with a very low one blocking it. Should be interesting. Wish me luck!

My Lock just got here today, new in its package with just a little bit of showing sitting.
Thank you so much Josh66, it was such a great price :D
Picked it as soon as it came in, and then took it apart to look at the spools that it has.

I'm glad somebody else got the deal while it was hot.

They still show used ones at about half price - not quite as sweet as the deal I got, but it's still a good deal.

Well, I still haven't got this thing open - but I did take it apart. It has 1 steel pin (#2) and 5 spools:

Just as I thought... got the same chamfer on the key pins as all of mine aswell. Dunno why they do that.

It probably makes it easier to overset the pin. That's the only thing I can think of anyway...

(Part of the picture appears to have been cut off ... didn't notice that when I posted it. Oh well - you get the idea.)

If that's what they were trying to achieve they failed miserably, makes them easier to pick in my opinion.

Finally got this thing open!

I had to use both of those picks (the larger one couldn't maneuver around the warding good enough to set the last pin).

That photo is pure sex. I can't wait to get my hands on a new camera, not being able to take decent pics is doing my bap in.
