experimental tension wrench.

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Hey, I like it. Nice work. Do you need a hex wrench or does finger tightening the screw give it enough tension to keep the pieces from moving when you use it?

At the aluminium profile picture you can see the cross shaped section in the middle that I used for my tool. I machined excess material away with table saw and grinded it smooth. Then two pieces of street bristles at the bottom of the groove to fill it up. After them, two more bristles with bent heads. And finally a flat aluminium bar where I drilled a hole and thread to take a M3 bolt. It doesn´t need a hex tool to tighten, fingers are enough. You can also put there a wing nut if you must have it very tight.

As its current stage this tool works better than nothing but there is always something to improve. I´m going to make this again with these changes:
- Bolt has to be closer to the edge to provide more rigid feel. Now it´s about 15mm away and it lets the bristles move too much.
- Bent heads are too long, they are too flexible. This works now fine when turned clockwise, ccw is too flexible.

Post pictures of your own design, there might be some ideas to steal! :P
