Are you trying to decode one? I don't know much about them. What have you figured out about yours so far?

since false gates are shallow, and the round tumblers have no center axle, think of a round disc in a can/cylinder whatever that has an obstruction at one point on its circumference, that disc would tend to rock back and forth, if a tool of some kind pressed on one side or the other of this hung up area.

would a true gate have just a different feel?
you could put a tumbler in an otherwise empty uh do ya call them plug or cylinder or whatever it is, and then with the sidebar in it, one could just test the difference of the feel of that disc when it was in the false gate and feel a difference from a true gate, which might have enough play in the fit of the sidebar, or if that hung up too, it would be a different amount of play, to feel it

Yes. And they can be masterkeyed by use of discs with more than one deep notch. The shallow false gates are designed to present the same feel if pressure is applied.
Nothing is foolproof to a talented fool. Wisdom is not just in determining how to do something, but also includes determining whether it should be done at all.

Before we all waste time posting funny comments here, the topic of discussing Abloy is at the moment considered Advanced, and we will not be discussing it further.

Have a good week everyone, let's keep the forum on track.
