while browsing in the net i came across a few crazy locks that needed to be shared with yall.   This is where I found these pictures: http://www.recordholders.org/en/records/padlock.html theres a few more as well with some descriptions, enjoy!

Does the padlock count against the 50lb weight limit?

No, they don't count against the weught limit. But, unfortunately, if you are travelling in the USA, they are not TSA compatible. They will cut them off... If they can.

I want to get a boron shank padlock and lock one on my carryon just to drive TSA mad after they stole my freaking picks.....

Trusty Lock, Kolkata (India) 2002: made of brass and aluminium protects the Jagannath temple, an Hindu temple at Puri in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, hence it is the biggest padlock that is actually in use. The lock has three 14.5-inch keys Trusty Lock's locksmiths have also produced a 5-gramme miniature padlock.
It's worth pointing out (in case the original link no longer works in future) the lock on the man's shoulder is not any sort of display/advertising/museum model, it is actually a lock in service.

Wouldn't they just cut the zip or handle instead of the padlock?
