If your HPC pick gun handle looks exactly like this:

then it is made by Black and Decker and the replacement battery can be found here:

http://servicenet.blackanddecker.com/Pr ... il/9072CTN

If not, look for Black and Decker screwdrivers on Google image search until you find one that looks like your HPC EPG and then search the BD part number on BD's service site using the link above.

If your old HPC has a green handle it was made by Skil and is something like the old model 2105 screwdriver

The parts diagram can be seen here,
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/noframes.cgi/skil/2105_TYPE_2

and the battery available for $14 here (make sure it is what you need for your HPC, I cant guarantee this is the exact replacement):

If none of these match and you're handy with electronics you can probably order NiCD or NiMH cells on ebay and solder them together.

*** I read somewhere that this is commonly called an R9 battery and works in many consumer electronics, it is made of 2 cells. google for R9 battery for a good place to buy one (IF this is what you need 2.5 volts 1500 mAh) example: http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_estore/Products/RT/PID-NIC0207%28Other+Products%29.aspx?dsNavigation=Nrc~id-3|id-5%2CN~4294542093&Title=2.4V+1500mAh+NiCd

Hope that helps,
Squelchtone

Well, what you have right there is what you'd call a wealth of information!
