Hello, I go by m0rph. I'm a computer hacker, been doing it for about 7 years. I'm in my early twenties and work as a contractor for uncle sam. Just wanted to broaden my knowledge, and make some new friends. I saw my masterlock 140 sitting in my closet, and thought I'd give lock picking a go. btw, do you guys have IRC?

My name is Tom. I live in the Myrtle Beach area. I worked for the Mosler Safe Company in the 70's and also for American Safe and Gun. I thought that I would be just fishing (with my charter boat operation) at this stage in life, but the economy busted that bubble. I have gone back to work in the locksmith trade. There is a lot of new stuff out there... and a lot that this old mind is having to re-discover.

I have looked at this forum a couple of times, when it popped up in a search. Good site. I look forward to participating some. Thanks to whoever made this possible.

Hello my name is Victor and I live in Minnesota. I randomly came across videos of lockpicking on youtube and it spiked my interest instantly. Today, I ordered a set of picks online and also bought a kwikset deadbolt. I can't wait to get my picks so I can try it out!

Hey, I've been lurking on here for a few months and figured I would finally introduce myself. I'm from Illinois and have been living in the Memphis area for around three years. I recently attended a week long "lock school" and now I'm addicted. Looking forward to interacting with everybody and increasing my skill.

I have been a member of this site for a while now but never introduced myself. I am 13 years old. I have been interested in locks and lockpicking for at least a couple years. I became really interested after I purchased a set of southord picks and opened my first lock. (A cheap masterlock I found laying around my house) since then I have purchased a set of Peterson picks and a pair of bogotas. I have also recently been making my own picks that are starting to look great and also work great. I also have a collection of over 20 locks. I have also started to make money off my hobby because I have 3 key duplicaters (I probably only need one but the other two I got at such a cheap price I just had to buy them). I recently got a pin kit from my grandpa and another one from a yardsale so I now rekey all of the locks for my uncles apartments that he rents out to people.

I've loved puzzles and mechanics all my life but only took the plunge to learn about lockpicking a few days ago. So far, it's been really fun, and I had my first 'Booyah' moment yesterday when I found and *beat* a spool pin in a padlock I bought! I did a little dance ;) I'm still poking and prodding more than I'd like but I am trying to get a better feel for the pins. I bought some cheap, low security locks from the local hardware store, but am keen to find out what makes/models I should look at next (UK based).

Have not done any skydiving in decades. But you have one up on me... I have neve been a skydiving lockpicker. Aren't you afraid that you will drop your tension wrench in the wind?

:-)

Long time occasional lurker, first time member. I started picking just over a year ago, and got hooked. I'm a member of FOOLS (Fraternal Order Of LockSport), though I'm not in Bloomington, IN. I've helped organize and run three lockpick villages at conferences now. In the next month I will be organizing and running another, as well as giving a conference talk on lockpicking.

Looking to try my hand at custom tool making in the next couple of weeks. That's the main reason I'm joining, so I can ask questions and get feedback on my tools.

Howdy all! I've been lurking here for a few years(!) now and I figured it was high time I finally signed up. I've been interested in locks for over 20 years and am a lock collector - primarily padlocks.

I appreciate the enormous amount of information available on these forums; much of it has been enormously useful to me over the years and hopefully now i'll be able to help folks out in return.
