Bought MPX-14 set from southord about two weeks ago and a few padlocks here and there to start learning about lockpicking.
Also started to read about the subject to improve my skill!
I own about 3 padlocks that I really can feel the pins and easily can pick them. (and 2 more wich I just can't figure them out yet
)However, I bought a doorknob about 3 days ago and I've only been able to pick it about 4times now SPP.
By looking at the key, I know at what height to push the pins so that it settles fine at the shear line (it's a 3 pin-tumbler).
My problem is: it appears that the lock is made so that the last 2 pins are 'almost' already set at the shear line.
It seems that by just inserting my pick in, it oversets these 2 last pins (picks being too large?) and therefore, really lowers the chances to pick it ?
Tried to use the tension wrench at the bottom, and the top of the keyway (to leave room for my pick)... doesn't seem to help very much, there is a case ward in the way...
Is there something I'm doing wrong ? Thx for advices!
