One of my clients had a new door installed, and it came with a commercial grade lever lock. The name on the latch plate is "D A". It looks a bit like a Schlage, but it is not.
When I used to do a lot of work with AudioVisual equipment I remember seeing a company DA-Lite, which mostly made AV equipment, but also locks and latch plates for their stuff. Never saw one on a door though. Also, I would guess that they weren't making their own lock cylinders. Not sure if that helps.
