How to open a Master Lock no. 3

Postby Erickk » 8 Nov 2012 18:07

Hi! I'm new to this site, and new to lock picking

I have two Master locks no. 3, one master lock commercial, and one craftsman lock (the small yellow one).
I use a strong paperclip for tension, and a bobby pin as my pick.

Anyway, I managed to get one of the Master Lock no. 3 to open up about twice (raking), but only out of luck.. When I try to open this lock It usually has one pin left and its always up and never wants to go down. My Master Lock Commercial has all its pins down, but doesn't rotate, and same with my craftsman.

Can someone explain to me a way of how to set each individual pin one at a time? It would mean a lot <3 Thanks!
Erickk

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. Please note that typically on Internet forums it is in good form to sign up, and poke around and search first before posting a question. The Master Lock No3 is the lock we all started on, there are plenty of posts and answers already available for your review.

I'd like to direct you to the usual places we send new members so you can get to know the forum a little better.

A good place to start:

Here's a fun video about life on an Internet forum:

and here's a nice guide on how to pick locks:

Hope you find your answer by using Search and reading some posts. After putting in some effort if you are still stuck, I'm sure someone will help you.

Have a good day,
