I became a member of this site approx 6 months ago but due to a deployment I had not been on for a little bit and forgot all my login in info. So I will introduce myself again. I am a US Army EOD Tech (bombsquad) I have gone through a bypass course at fox valley tech college in appleton but that was over five years again and my skills are a bit rusty. Hey guys. I'm a firefighter currently working at the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq. I mainly just fiddle around for fun and to help out friends, but I'd like to become good enough to have a side business. Most of my stuff has been VERY simple automotive, tool boxes, and a few rooms here in Baghdad, so I'm hoping to learn some more sharpen my skills. Thanks!

And EODJeff, where were you deployed to? and whats your home base? We have a bunch of EOD here at the Embassy, but we shuffle sites a lot so we may know the same people.

m/bike rider thought id by a new Kryptonite lock gOOgled it and found how (Cr**) rubbish they were thanks you tube. saw sone other vids on you tube three days ago and found you all here been here since . i am just Sooooooo facinated by all this had to go and get a 40 mm padlock out of the shed that i lost the for years ago but never chucked out. I made a tension wrentch out of a metal tent peg, bent up a bit of s/steel welding wire fiddled about for about a min, and guess what it only bloody well popped.
i think im gonna be hooked on this new found hobby.

Hello everyone, I am new to the site so thought I would start by introducing myself. I was introduced to lock picking by a fellow hobbiest about 6months ago. I have since become very interested and purchased a goso 23piece and a southord 22piece set. I have picked 4 or 5 different locks but I think this was a lot to luck than anything else do now looking to learn better technique and improve my ability and time.

Good evening everyone. I am new to the forum as of today. I found this site while researching the use of my newest tool from Raimundo. I have been a fan of his tools for several years after seeing them featured on ITS Tactical and then becoming a customer of several years on SEREPick. I have been picking locks for about 15 years now. I started my interest in the hobby when I was in law enforcement and needed to bypass locks without destroying them or making a lot of noise. As I read some of the threads, I realize that I have owned (and currently own) many of the tools used and talked about here on the site (SouthOrd folding tools, Bogota's and other Raimundo tools). It makes me smile to know that I at least have chosen my tools well. I am currently in the security field and hope to continue to include my love for and skill in lock picking in my current and future work.

Hi to all, i'm Oscar and i'm from El Salvador, Central America. Maybe this sounds funny, but i get interested about all this stuff of lock picking while i was watching Dexter (the serial killer), but, i don't wanna be a murderer or something related, i only want to be able to unlock doors because i think that is a challenge, and if you win the challenge you feel good. Recently, to start learning about lock picking i bought a basic (i don't know if that's basic or not) 19 Piece Deluxe Lock Picking Set and i've been watching videos about lock picking. I haven't unloked a pick yet. But i won't give up easily.

Suppose I had better introduce myself
my wife and I bought a locksmith business 5 years ago, have always had an interest in locks and picking
we mainly pick kwikset and schlage, with the occasional, corbin, brinks, defiant, faultless, but it's 80% kwikset
have never managed to pick a kwikset smart key, but have picked the schlage secure key and broken 2 of them trying to pick them, glad they were withdrawn.
pick sentry safes, both tubular and normal as well as cross key locks.
if the truth be know, I only ever use 2 types of picks to open locks and I've just checked and my wife and I have picked over 700 locks and the best bit,we got paid for it :-)
Best advice - relax when picking, if you can pick a lock while 2 policemen are waiting to get into a house or when you know that there is a paralyzed lady in a wheelchair on the other side of the door and the distressed family is outside and need to get it, you get motivated.
we have seen some strange things in our time in the States.
We have done quite a few picks, but are always willing to learn better techniques.

Hi everyone. I've been interested in lock picking a little over ten years now. A friend introduced me to the idea when I was around 12 and it has always stuck with me. I've had a set of picks for a few years now and I pull them out occasionally. Recently I decided it was time to really get serious. I love the challenge of a lock, the 3d puzzle if you will.

Hello everyone, im new here

I dont usually spend time in forums but i thought it would be a good change of pace.
i run a small mobile business in Georgia. I also work part time for another lock shop (mostly sub-con work). I have found that my time with the "old man" has been more benifical than the Foley-belsaw course i began with.
I enjoy automotive work a little more as it changes day to day. I dont care much for safes, electronic access, or icores. So i may be asking for help from time to time.
