I would like to add that those hinges you put on your door should be the kind that won´t open even if you cut the hinges pin. They have a blocking piece which prevents it from opening when the hinge pin is away. This one is from Abloy:

Also should drill some steel rods to the hinge side of the door and frame, that is quite usual prosedure here with old residential doors. Usually there are two of these, up and down, then you don´t need to replace the hinges. Inlay it in the frame and leave it about 10-15mm out. Doesn´t affect the door function but the door can´t be opened from the wrong side.

I don't know anyone who wants to rush out of a sauna in a hurry! :D

Where's Jaakko when you need him?

@EuropeanAmerican

What i'm suggesting is a steel door with build in deadbolts locking into all 4 directions. (the deadbolt and door lock with a single lock and thus a single keyhole or a separate main lock for the door and another one for the 4 direction-built-in deadlock).
The drawing of the door did not really go as well as I planned; the spaces have disappeared. Yet it seems the idea got through.

The thing I had in mind for you is something like the brown wooden loking one here:

this one is more industrial looking:

This one looks nicer:

But theese are just examples to show you the idea. I was even too lazy to read through the exact specifications of them. If you get in touch with a local locksmith he will surely be of assistance in finding a tasteful security door.

Wow, really want one of these though: :D

I love using USCAN locks because they are very rugged remakes of popular brands. US - United States, CAN - Canada, I am sure you can find some foreign equivalents from them.
