@atticRR: I stayed with lockpicking all the time, even if I'm less active now. Being a member in a lockpicking sports group and meeting with others regularly keeps you interested, even after a long time.
In future, I will use imageshack and you can browse the pictures if you want. It's still pretty empty, but I might add some of the old pictures there.

How about tension tools in those mini ones?

At the moment I keep them together with the pick in a heat shrink tube, but I'm going to replace that with small leather cases. Pictures might follow, but it will be just a really simple leather case with a hole for the key chain, hardened with carnauba wax.

I got bored with my pick storage at home, and this is the result:



This indicates what´s inside



Inside there is a top layer with 4 picks and place for tension tools



The bottom layer is for picks which I don´t use so often.



The top layer has magnets inlayed so that 4 picks stay in their places firmly. 2 magnets per pick.



And these picks are just to show the measures and function, I´ll do a 4 piece set with this same curly birch.

O M G that is pure artistry, zeepia. That box is, well, theres not really words for how amazing that thing turned out. What a great job! Is that the wood from your property? whats it called again? isnt it called 'freakin amazing wood', or something like that?

Just replaced the wipers on my car, so I figured I would make a few picks that I dont have in my collection.
Offset diamond/gem and the gonzo noodle thing.




Handles are Ipe. Brazilian super hardwood. I use Ipe for carving because you can get very small detail because of its density. Probably could have spent a lot longer shaping/sanding these, but I wanted to use them! shaped after the Southord MAX handles, slightly larger to fit my hands better.

Nothing fancy but I wanted to do this double bogota for my EDC at work. Both sides are little different measures to make it a more versatile tool.
I have found that I don´t need any special handle in rakes, therefore heat shrink will do fine here.

This is a double sided bogota pick I made. In person it is as shiny as a mirror. The wood is two pieces of apple wood glued together with a notch in the middle of the two that I cut with a file. The m.etal is out of a windshield wiper, I made the metal part with only hand files and sandpaper up to 1000 grit. I then polished it with a buffing wheel and compound. I finished the handle with just olive oil to make it shiny. I have made lots of other picks but none ever came out this good. I hope to make more soon.
