Thanks MBI,
Are there Southord-specific retailers in the UK? (I'd like to utilise the discount code if possible! :D)

As far as I know, the code is only for factory-direct orders.
Resellers are not bound by sales promotions offered by the manufacturer.

I'd get a slimline set like C801 if I had to get only one set. Slimmer ones are better for smaller locks and they work for larger locks as well. C1500 could be another nice set, but notice that half of it is without handles. If you're very heavy handed you might get something like medium hook from the heavier set as well. I got mine from the manufacturer directly.

Thanks boggif and MBI again.
I've had some lengthy chats and I think I'm going to start fairly basic, cheap and with as little effort as possible. I've decided to get a stupidly cheap set to ensure I've got an arsenal of picks that I won't mind bending/breaking and backing that up with another set with some decent picks and tension tools. Thanks all for your help and I'll report back to let you know how they fare me! :D

hi i also live in the uk ans i have the southord 22 piece set and i would definitely recommend a southord slimline set because they work a lot better in uk locks than standard picks and they also work very well in locks with a restricted key way if you are looking for somewhere to buy the picks from just let me know i would be happy to help
