Is it loud through all that padding?

Great idea. reminds me of highschool prank where someone put a bunch of alarm clocks set for random times in the hallway lockers.

It definitely muffles some of the sound, but this particular alarm clock is extremely loud. So even in the case, you can hear the alarm going off from the next room.

Steel cable it to something, so it doesn't get thrown out the window...

My wife would kill me if I tired this.

Or maybe it would introduce her to the wonderful world of hobby picking in a way that is relevant to her life

So you are saying she'd introduce you to the wonderful world of bolt cutters? First on the locks, then on you?

/\ This. It already annoys my wife when I'm picking watching tv. Apparently the clicking of the pins gets old.

My first thought entirely  Top idea though, and definitely a true lockie's wake up call.

I wanna try ..... even though I'd definitely hack spyderco's version by unplugging the power supply that runs into the box on really foggy mornings .... just too tempting :P

Hoe about the same principle for the toilet door!? Now we're talkin'!

I've seen apps that make to do math problems to turn the alarm off on your phone (I, like many, I suppose, don't even own an alarm clock anymore other than my phone) - but I think I like this more.

Knowing me, it would only teach me to pick locks in my sleep though.

This doesn't really have much to do with the alarm clock but it helps me get up in the morning.
