Fort Lock - Compx Series 5000 Amusement Game Lock Picking

Postby rjzshop » 21 Dec 2012 16:15

I specialize in restoring pinball machines and often buy games from owners who have lost the keys to the game. Does anyone have information on the picks to use on Fort Lock/Compx Series 5000 double bitted cam locks?

The compx shipping locks on most vending ,gamming machines is code # 757. Contact compx ( national lock ) and obtain a key or just buy a set of locks with that code and get 2 keys included.

Actually the most common keyway is the 750 on pinballs and arcade games. I have a huge collection of keys and could cut the missing key numbers, but the number of different keys makes it very time consuming trying keys. I could and have drilled locks in the past, but would like to find a reliable way to pick them to save time and avoid destroying the locks. I can then re-key them.

Practice. I'm not familiar with which part of the machine these locks are protecting, but if it's the coinbox, we won't be able to give any specifics in the open subforum anyway.
