Lockpicking mechanical head for electric screwdriver?

Postby Waffer » 6 Jan 2013 2:43

Hello,

recently got 4.8V "pocket" electric screwdriver as a present. 200RPM only.
Looks somehow useless though I do quite a lot, but with bigger instruments.
Had some plans to turn it into something like
http://dx.com/p/electronic-power-lock-pick-gun-65387,
but due to low RPM this is problematic. DX tool has 1200 RPM...
My body is very similar to this DX tool, but has non-detachable 6-angle holder for bits.

The question is: can I buy separate head similar to used in DX tool?
Head that can be used with some screwdriver or drill.
I can work on adaptation to my screwdriver myself.
I need some advice on where to find it.

I haven´t seen those individually at the market but if you are technically handy you can take an old electric toothbrush apart and see how it´s made. Principle should be the same, just a little bigger scale. That mechanism isn´t very complicated. The lack of RPM can be a problem though.
