US high security handcuff keys I should get

Postby MJK_Tool » 3 Jul 2012 17:08

Wanted to get input from you guys on what cuff keys to buy. I'm getting in a cheap set of peerless keys that'll cover all the low security stuff. I'm going to mod a few for the double pawl cuffs with a dremel tool.

What I wanted to know was which of the special high security ones I should buy. A buddy of mine has a S&W that looks like a torx bit, I've seen weird ones that work on S&W cuffs for corrections use that have a wing to trip the pawl lever.

No key is too exotic for me I want to have as many as I can.

Handcuffs are a fun side-hobby from locks I must say.

Yeah newer Yule cuffs but you can mod out of spec US keys to basically allow for rotation in spite of the plate that splits the cuff. You just remove from the ward of a little material in the center.
