What do you think about my DIY lock pick article?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

What do you think about my DIY lock pick article?

Hey all, just made my first set of DIY picks (it's so much fun!) What do you guys think? Feedback is more than welcome :)

Hi.. if you were an existing member here with some posts under your belt, a how to guide hosted on your own blog would probably be be fine, but since you just joined today and this is your first post it just feels like you're trying to promote your new blog here...

It pretty much violates one of our house rules, rule #2 viewtopic.php?f=2&t=715

We would much more prefer you post a how to guide using a forum post as the vehicle for doing so, but since it's already on your blog, I guess I'll allow it for now. Please note that we've had issues in the past with people linking stuff back to their blogs which were hosted on their work sites and served only to promote those businesses or products, I hope you can see where we are coming from.

welcome to the forum,

First post and I'm already breaking rules? Dang. Sorry guys :) Not trying to promote or sell anything, just trying to get into the LP community again after a long absence. In the future if I have more DIY stuff I'll just post it in the forum itself and not link out. I'm mostly looking for feedback about the picks and writeup, and maybe some suggestions for how they can be improved (especially about the kind of scrap metals that people use. I couldn't make hook picks from the stuff I had because they weren't thick enough).

Gonna read the house rules now, thanks for keeping me honest :)
