We will try to help you out. If you can take a photo, upload it to http://tinypic.com and then paste the link to it here, that's the easiest way to share a photo with us. Do you have the keys to them or just the locks?

Thank you,

That's very interesting. It is a tubular switch lock with what looks like a GEM key (or Fort, or ACE), and the cable with 1/8 inch stereo jack was probably added on later, or was made like that by the vending machine company.

What did you want to know about it? It could be used in a vending machine, a car alarm, a house alarm, etc. Did he run or work for a vending company?

Our very own keysman would be able to tell you if these are collected by people who restore old gaming machines. Normally those locks are like $20-$30 bucks at any locksmith shop, they're not like $50 to $100 each or anything like that. Here's an online seller: http://www.andersonlock.com/fort-compx- ... ts-656.php

keysman should see this post some time tonight..

We have a word filter that takes out the word casin0 because we used to get a lot of spam here to advertize online gaming. I dont usually tell people to go ahead and bypass it, but feel free to put a zero instead of an oh at the end.

btw, these locks are NOT high security no matter how much lock manufacturers claim that a 7 pin tubular lock is high security.

Yeah, at retail. But I'd be surprised if they sold for much over $10 or $15 each on ebay if sold individually, less if sold in a bulk lot.

Chicago Lock / CompX would be the maker of this decade, back in the day it would have been ACE or Gem or Fort. It's called a Tubular Switch Lock and its pretty common. It will be Momentary or Maintaining or both. Being keyed alike will not add to the value.

here's a PDF, page 13, http://compx.com/images/compxfort_feb2012.pdf

Hope that helps,

You have to be here 30 days and have 30 posts demonstrating that you're part of this community in order to post things for sale in the Buy Sell Trade area. That rule helps us keep out folks who just want to use our forum to unload their locksmith related stuff without actually contributing to the forum.

ebay or craigslist is your best bet at this point,
