Professional First Time Try (Hand Made Picks)

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Professional First Time Try (Hand Made Picks)

Postby IndigoChild » 11 Feb 2013 19:04

Hello,
I have been getting into lockpicking a lot lately and I am finding that I am beginning to break my picks. I am not too rough with them. In fact I would say I am very gentle. The picks are as old as the shop I work for. I tried ordering some a few times but our supplier no longer carries a set of picks I care about. I came across Schuyler Towne and his line of custom lock picks. I then found the Bogota picks by Raimundo. I learned about the sport and etiquette and desired my own set. I started with my own version of the Bogota. I like the design but this is how I do it. Thanks to Dayziro and his wire handle idea I came up with this beautiful Wire Handle Bogota pick.

Very nice pick, great first try! The picture is a bit blurry but I guess you sanded the pick tip smooth.

Cheers :)

Well its a cell phone camera in very poor light. But I assure you I sanded this for an hour with 400 grit and now it has a mirror finish
