FAB Assa Abloy factory

Postby Moren » 11 Feb 2013 16:05

A few days ago I visited the FAB factory in Czech Republic, where lot of locks are made. FAB, ZEIS ICON, ASSA, RUCO, Mul-T-locks and others. Almost everything is automatized.

Look at video where locks for scandinavia are filled by pins and springs. Robotic hand pass a lock to machine, where is measured key combination, filled with pins and springs and secured in a body. Second hand only collecting completed locks.

Second video shows some drilling.

I can open any lock. ... Sometimes I have to use C4 instead of pick. :)

FAB Assa Abloy is sponsor of Czech Lockpicking Association so we get the opportunity to visit their factory. Luckily it is just 100 Km from my home. :)
