One HAnd Jack as a Bump Hammer?

Postby lockstar5000 » 18 Feb 2013 22:56

Hi all-

First off, I am new here, so hello to the forum and sorry if it's been covered, but was wondering if anyone has tried using their One Hand Jack auto tool as a bump hammer? It seems to me it wouldn't be an efficient transfer of energy, but you never know. Haven't tried it yet, and am probably going to make a BH like Unbreakable did with metal ruler and rubber, but figured I would ask to see if anyone had thoughts. I have found my girlfriends hairbrush is a really good BH, but the hair is annoying and also it's not very professional looking haha. Thanks for any thoughts you all may have!

thats a good idea, however that tool is worth more than a home made hammer. it may also have varying success.

i cut a 1.5 inch wide strip off a cutting board, and screwed a small mallet head on the end. dipped in plasti-dip for a grip surface.

all in all, spend 5$ at a flea market/goodwill/etc and 5$ on the plastidip handle stuff.

having correct tools for the job are usually easier. sure, it may work but why destoy a good tool because its not meant for that use?
