When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.
This is all of my picks There is a set of Peterson's some southords and a few are made by me including the snapper pick. On th bottom is a failed attempt at a cutaway. There is also a set of raimundos bogotas from serepick.
Why do you say it's a failed attempt at a cutaway? doesn't it work? Anyway you look like to have most you'll need for a long time, that's great cuz you can now focus your money in getting a billion locks
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise. - GWiens2001
I said its a failed attempt because when I made it I wasn't thinking too much so when you insert the key and turn the cylinder all of the top pins fall out because there is nothing to hold them up. So now I have a very nice cutaway that you cant open without parts flying everywhere.
Well, you're better than me anyway. I don't have even a cutaway failed attempt! I'm making one though, for a lever lock. Gonna post it when it's done (about 2 days, since I have to clean the hole thing).
Keep us posted about your pick set. It looks very cool indeed

I plan on making another cutaway except I can only make them when I go to my grandpas because he has an end mill. I have a whole lot of tools but unfortunately I don't have an end mill at my house and it would take a while to save the money to get one. If I had to make one with the tools I have it would not look nearly as good. For the next one I will have to do a little more planning before I start cutting.
I am working on a new pick handle, this one is made out of walnut. It is not finished I still need make it smooth and shiny. I am thinking about making a hook pick for it but I may do a bogota style diamond. also the black ball of fur in the second picture is my cat
